1920s Flapper Style at Emerald Angel

Recently I’ve been watching that fab series The House of Elliot on BBC about a 1920s fashion house in London and have been really inspired.

I’ve created three new Flapper Headbands that I think you’re gonna love

My newest and favourite one is this one with Swarovski crystal motif, silver black fabric roses and lots of feathers

I absolutely love the 1920s beautiful and the damned style – so decadent and over the top yet elegant and sophisticated. Kinda what Emerald Angel is about. My partner Andy and I were set to go to a ball at Kensington Palace in London and the dress code was wild! It was called the Wild Boys Ball after all.

I decided on a dark gothic flapper style for my outift and the first piece I made was this headdress.

Of course I had to share it with all of you and add the design to my store

Finally after over a year I’ve got around to making my first Belly Dance clothing design. I’ve had belly dance clothing and accessory designs in my notebook for over a year, but just not found the time to sample any. I wanted to focus more on gothic and alternative designs.

These I actually made for the new American Tribal Style Belly Dance Classes that I’m starting next week.

Finished this last night – a fantastic 12 inch fringe sleeve black shrug! Initially made as part of my outfit for a new glam rock club where I live at the end of the month. But I’ve decided to add it to my store as I know there’s plenty more rockers out there that would appreciate it

New Tudor Pirate Stripes & Lace Corset!

I finally found time to get this design finished! Sometimes I wish I could split myself into four to get all my designs sampled and in my store!

I decided to use this fantastic image of the spanish Princesa de Eboli for the front. Though she wasn’t a pirate she sure does look the part with the eye patch I can imagine her as a fierce princess pirate of the seas.

This is made as a waist cincher in cotton stripe fabric with strong cotton twill backing, lace trim on the bottom and corset lacing at the back. It has 10 steel bones.

Today I added two more additions to my Royal Wedding/ Nautical 2011 collection.

I thought that I should add at least one design for guys It’s very hard to make accessories for guys, so I normally just stick to ties. I made a satin union jack tie so at least guys have that something extra for the Royal Wedding celebrations too.

Next I made one of my Big Hair Bows also in the satin union jack fabric with a red sequins center, very cute! As I needed a picture quickly of this I modelled it myself

New Royal Wedding Inspired Hats & Accessories!

So the Royal Wedding is drawing near and I’m sure like most people you will be attending some sort of celebration or party. I recently noticed that there seems to be no end to the usual tacky decorations and accessories for the day so I thought I’d design a few accessories myself!

So far I’ve designed and sampled some headgear – a few hats and a bit more over the top burlesque headdress. I also already have some blue, red and white nautical designs in stock which would also be perfect on the day

The first design is a 1950s half hat in blue and white stripes with red satin trim and roses. This also comes with or without veiling. It’s perfect for a more elegant look for the Royal celebrations, summer parties, weddings or race days.

Next I finished off a design that had been hanging around my studio waiting to be finished for a while that would be perfect for the celebrations! Especially for any Burlesque performers putting on a show especially for the Royal Wedding! A mini top hat in union jack fabric, you couldn’t get anymore perfect!
